Another collaboration with my blogger partner in crime, Kerstyn Inouye, comin' atcha! For this installment, we centered the styling on this gorgeous, supple yellow moto jacket from Zara. I chose to pair it with a mustard yellow skort from Forever 21, falling in line with my obsession to create matching sets out of unique pieces.
Of course I had to mellow out the yellow with sunnies from my favorite, ZeroUV. The tee I wore underneath the staple jacket is one of my absolute favorites: a soft white tee with Rockdale GCC's logo in the corner, ℅ Rockdale GCC. And the shoes are a near-nude, comfy pair of mules by Marc Fisher.
Just because Winter is here, doesn't mean your wardrobe can't continue having some fun on the colorful side, as proven here. Yellow in particular is a color that stands for many things, the most obvious being optimism and happiness. It produces a cheerful, warming effect and stimulates mental activity while aiding logic, memory, concentration, will-power and communication. When our 3rd Chakra (also associated with yellow) is blocked, we experience shame, anger, fear, bitterness, resentment, prejudice and hate.
The color yellow spiritually effects personal power, strength, sense of self worth, transformation, courage and laughter. Physically, yellow stimulates the nervous system, metabolic rate, calms the stomach and digestive system, aids eczema and other skin issues as well as the pancreas and liver. Yellow also indicates honor and loyalty, which if you know me, is truly something of value and significance to me.
