Headliner: Babeland

Festivals are the perfect time to explore a funkier side of fashion that you might not normally venture into. They're also the perfect place to pull off fits that might normally seem too over-the-top for a daily basis all while staying fashion-forward. However if it's an all-day or all-weekend event, you might opt for some basic boho babe vibes with some light layers and statement pieces such as my new, absolute favorite tee from my friends at Petals and Peacocks!

Though I wasn't among the 'chella bellas that were posted in Indio the past weekend, I loved seeing all the creative styling and vibrant fits. And of course in honor of weekend two's swift approach, I wanted to share the final set of my mini festival lookbook featuring Petals.

This clever lightweight Babeland SF graphic tee immediately became my favorite of the Spring collection in its variety of three different city flips, and I definitely plan on wearing it to Disneyland eventually as well. But of course! I love that I can rep the Bay no matter where I plan to rock out. We shot this look at Golden Gate Park as well which was fitting as a city staple since the Outside Lands festival normally takes place there too.

I paired the tee with these cute and comfy printed shorts from Forever, I was automatically drawn to them because it was a tribal pattern that wasn't too busy and the fabric was soft and breathable. They screamed care-free and Coachella to me and since I was going for a simple yet fest-fit look, they were perfect to create that feel of easy-breezy boho bliss.

I also came across this super light knit cardigan when I found the shorts, and I just had to incorporate it into my outfit. The fringe detail was perfect and yes, I do know that festivals are usually scorching hot, but I tend to get cold no matter what my environment is and it's always nice to have a little backup in case of any sandstorms or surprises!

Foresight and comfort are key when it comes to festival-friendly essentials, which is why I decided on my trusty Chuck Taylors to finish off my fit. They maintain that classic style and provide enough comfort to remain good for the sole, making them a sound choice. *Taylor Gang >

Comfort and practicality were the main focus of this look all while attempting to remain in theme. My bag's funky fringe helps accent the fringe on my cardi as well as freshen up the outfit as a whole. The fact that it's huge and easy to hold onto can only come in handy at any all-day event, especially since I'm the type who will most likely prefer to attend over-prepared. My bangs are braided up and away from my eyes, so that I can really take in my surroundings and appreciate all the good vibes.

Remember: a little preparation goes a long way. As the saying goes, it's always better to be safe than sorry. For all you weekend-two attendees, have fun and stay safe and hydrated. And if you're wearing any Petals and Peacocks, be sure to tag them and share the love! They'll also be having a sample sale in San Jose this weekend if you guys are in the area, so be sure to stop by and say hello.
